Permanent Garden Edge Design with river rocks embedded in cement

This versatile garden edge design can be used in ways ranging from home garden edges to more commercial parking space setting as pictured below.

These garden edges / parking lot edges were being built when I took these photos. The first image immediately below shows a partially completely wall from a cross-sectional angle. River rocks of similar size and oblong shape were chosen. Then they were lodged vertically and deeply into wet cement. This design offers a permanent structure that effectively contains gardens and demarcates different functional spaces.

          

In the image immediately below, a space was created between the garden edge and sidewalk (bottom left of the frame). Very low grass or gravel will eventually fill that space.

Soil is still being filled in to this section of the garden edge / parking lot edge.
